MARIAM MOUSSA

Registered Psychotherapist 

Mariam is a Registered Psychotherapist and previous Educator (B.Ed and M.A. in English from the University of Western Ontario; B.A. and B.Sc. from Acadia University). She earned a Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality at St. Paul University in Ottawa. Mariam is experienced with therapy for grief, anxiety, burnout, depression, and spiritual and existential issues. She also enjoys work with individuals seeking to resolve boundary difficulties, develop interpersonal skills, address life transitions, or work on general self-development goals. One area of recent interest and experience is CBT-I, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia. Mariam draws tools and techniques from several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, ACT, Logotherapy, Narrative therapy and using writing as a processing tool, as well as Mindfulness practices, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT. Mariam is known to be compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. Mariam is available for individual therapy with adults and teens (16+).
